Blackcurrant Oil Food Supplement

Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, titrated at 14% of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), indicated for cell membrane integrity and function.

Intake of GLA with the diet can increase the production of prostaglandins (PG-1 and PG-3), which inhibit inflammatory processes, blocking the release of arachidonic acid and, subsequently, of PG-2.

This action can have beneficial effects on some skin barrier function disorders, such as dry skin and atopic dermatitis or some joint disorders (arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis).

Generally, studies show that many subjects with inflammatory skin disorders, such as psoriasis, acne and atopic dermatitis have very low levels of GLA.
