Lutein

Lutein and Zeaxanthin Food Supplement

Pigments with antioxidant action that are effective for health eyesight.

Lutein neutralises reactive oxygen species (ROS) that are formed during metabolic processes in the eye, even due to light radiation along a particular wavelength (blue light).

With its antioxidant action, lutein can contribute to maintain the function and integrity of sensitive ocular structures (retina, iris, lens), either preventing or limiting free radical damage (photostress).

Lutein and zeaxanthin also deposit on the skin where they inhibit autoxidationof cellular lipids and protect cellsfrom damage induced by oxidation (inflammation of the epidermis, photoageing andphotocarcinogenesis from exposure to UVB radiation).
