Cordyceps Food Supplement

Titrated at 30% of polysaccharides and at 15% of β(1,3-1,6)-D-glucans. Produced by organic farming, it is indicated for its restorative action, to support metabolism, to boost the body’s natural defences and for upper airway function.

Cordyceps sinensis grows in the Himalayan highland and is, therefore, hard to cultivate. Hence, it has always been considered one of the most costly mushrooms. Indeed, in China its consumption was almost entirely reserved for members of the Emperor’s court and for aristocracy.

It seems that its use in the West was officially introduced by a Gesuit priest during a scientific meeting held in Paris in 1726.

Based on the theories of traditional Chinese medicine, the main effects of Cordyceps sinensis are to improve the yin and yang of lungs. It is used to treat chronic lumbar pain, for excessive mucous tissue, cough and asthma.

Recent studies suggest a potential antioxidant, neuroprotective and anti-ageing function.

Cordyceps sinensis has been used for centuries by traditional Chinese medicine to treat sexual dysfunction, such as low sex drive.

Legend has it that Tibetan shepherds were the first to discover the extraordinary properties of these mushrooms, observing that when the yak were taken to pasture, they grazed on it and became strong, active and their sexual activity increased considerably.

Organic Cordyceps titrated at 30% of polysaccharides and at 15% of β(1,3-1,6)-D-glucans, with Cordyceps sinensis, derived from DNA-certified mushroom strains.
