Burdock has several beneficial properties that have been known since ancient times. In the past, the many health-related applications included its use as diuretic and to cure eczema and wounds.

Recent studies have revealed its composition, which is made up of many substances: the root contains lignans, B vitamins, essential oils, bitter substances and tannins; inulin is the main compound, whose draining and blood purifying action encourages the elimination of toxins.

Burdock root extract, compared to some plant extracts, is one of the most effective herbs for skin elasticity. In fact, it inhibits elastase, the enzyme that damages elastin, which is the protein that protects the skin and endows it with elastic features.

The titrated and standardised plant extract maintains the quality and quantity of natural active ingredients unchanged, ensuring the product's stability, bioavailability and efficacy.
