The dried mature berries of Vitex agnus-castus have been used for therapeutic purposes from time immemorial. In fact, both Hippocrates and Dioscoride have described their effects on the female reproductive system.

Chaste Tree plays an important role in the gynaecological field, especially for the treatment of menstrual discomfort, premenstrual syndrome and swollen breast. The mechanism of action is supposed to involve dopaminergic effects, with regulating effects, namely a tendency to restore normal oestrogen and progesterone balance. Other studies also indicate that extracts of this plant can reduce some menopausal disorders, such as palpitations, tension and perspiration.

The titrated and standardised plant extract maintains the quality and quantity of natural ac-tive ingredients unchanged, ensuring the product's stability, bioavailability and efficacy.
